Bank robbery trial for Jackery White could start next week

Guam - Only one of the alleged Bank of Guam robbers is anticipated to head to trial next month.
Jackery White appeared before Judge James Canto on Friday to enter his global plea deal. He will have to return on Monday however to have the plea deal executed as canto could not move forward on the deal without consulting Judge Michael Bordallo. Bordallo oversees two of the three cases outlined in the plea.
Much like his son Irvin White III, the deal outlines three 7.5-year sentences to be served concurrently. Failure to cooperate with the government and testify against his remaining co-defendant, Edward Baza, Jr. however would result in the maximum sentence of three 10-year sentences to be served consecutively, or thirty years total.
Earlier this week, Irvin White pleaded guilty to the charges. Irvin was the first to confess to the crime implicating himself as one of the robbers, his father Jackery as the getaway driver, and Baza as the gunman.
Jackery White will return on Monday at 2pm. while Baza is still set for trial on March 3.
