Minors lead cops on high-speed chase in stolen car

Guam - If you were driving along Southern Guam this morning, you may have saw three minors were taken into custody early this morning following a high speed pursuit through the southern villages in a stolen vehicle.

According to Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer AJ Balajadia, the vehicle was reported stolen in Toto just before 4am shortly after, the vehicle was located on route ten passing Father Duenas School and followed towards Yona.

More police units joined the pursuit down south where several vehicle were forced off the roadway as the operator of the stolen vehicle exceeded 70 miles per hour through oncoming traffic and attempted to crash into pursuing officers vehicles.

The pursuit ended in Chaot along Route 4 where the driver fled into the jungle. two males and one female, all 16 years old were apprehended.

As for the driver, although K9 units and officers were not able to find him in the jungle, he has been identified by the other three minors. they report he is also 16-years-old.

We should note, all three minors are currently on probation and met one another while in custody at the Department of Youth Affairs.

The case has been forwarded to Juvenile Investigations.
