Guam - The Guam International Airport Authority has embarked on a $26 million project to install their new inline Baggage Handling System. Set to be completed next year, the new system will allow GIAA to double its capacity of baggage handling and screening while freeing up valuable floor and ticket counter space in the air terminal. The project has been in the planning since last July and is funded by the Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration.  The contractor is  Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistic LLC.
