GWA doesn't expect a break from the Navy

Guam - It doesn't look like the Navy will give Guam Waterworks a break when it comes to its proposed 40% rate hike. GWA purchases water from the Navy derived from Fena Lake. CCU chairperson Joseph Duenas says he doesn't anticipate the Navy to reduce the hike or to implement it over a period of time. As a result the CCU plans to reduce the amount of water it buys from the Navy by diverting water from the northern aquifer to service as many customers as possible in Agat and Santa Rita.
