42 people disqualified this fiscal year from public assistance

Guam - The Department of Public Health has released the statistics for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2015. According to the release 42 recipients were disqualified from the Supplemental Nutrition Program and six were disqualified from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program. Of the 48 disqualifications two were as a result of failing to report the loss of household members, 26 were disqualified for failing to report employment in a timely manner and 20 clients were disqualified for crediting food or non-food items with their SNAP EBT card which is considered trafficking. This totals about $49,000 of restitution.
