Guam - Senator Nerissa Underwood wants to hear both sides of Bill 420, which recently lapsed into public law. She told KUAM News, "I will be meeting later on this week to discuss concerns raised by the Guam Federation of Teachers with the recent law regarding the certification standards for teachers I look forward to meeting with them, I also look forward to meeting with the certification council."

The Guam Federation of Teachers you may remember requested the bill be vetoed, while the Guam Commission for Educator Certification remained in support of the measure. The GFT is concerned about the vague language in the law, specifically vague definitions of misconduct.   .

Underwood's meeting with the GFT will take place this Thursday.
