Guam - A heads up for Chalan Pago and Sinajana residents: if you see smoke rising from the ground in your respective villages starting next week, do not be alarmed. The Guam Waterworks Authority is beginning their regular smoke testing procedures on sewer lines and manhole covers. The smoke is odorless and harmless. Smoke rising from the ground is normal, but if it starts to come into your home that is not normal and could indicate there's a broken sewer line or an illegal hookup. If that's the case call GWA Dispatch at 646-4211.
After next week's testing in Chalan Pago and Sinajana, the following week testing will include Mongmong-Toto-Maite.
