Guam - The first public hearing of the year has been set for next Friday. The Committee on Health and Economic Development will hear a handful of measures including Bill 13 relative to adding a representative from GMH and Public Health to the Government of Guam Health Insurance Negotiating Team. The bill also deletes a requirement for the solicitation of an exclusive group health insurance contract and requires only the solicitation of three non-exclusive contracts for a two-year term. Bill 17 meanwhile will also be heard relative to the Barbering and Cosmetology Act of 2010. The hearing is set for January 16 at 9am.
