Calvo, Tenorio, DOC director get largest retro-payments

Guam - So how much did the governor, lt. governor and political appointees get paid in retro checks last month with the recent enactment of raises and retro pay for elected leaders and political appointees? Senator Michael San Nicolas's office has released information provided by the Department of Administration on the payments of over $250,000. Governor Eddie Calvo received a retro check of over $22,000 with Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio getting over $14,000. Among the directors, Department of Corrections' Jose San Agustin received the biggest retro check with close to $12,000. He's followed by Rev & Tax deputy director Marie Benito with close to $11,000 and Commission on Decolonization executive director Ed Alvarez with over $10,000. John Rios also received retro pay of over $10,000 as GEDA's administrator along with over $3,500 as BBMR's former director. The information was provided following a Freedom of Information Act request by San Nicolas last week.
