Guam - Senator Brant McCreadie has also re-introduced a measure that was first introduced during his previous term. The Republican lawmaker isn't giving up on building a new prison.


"Prison Bill number 5, right after we got inaugurated we introduced a bill, piece of legislation that finds a solution to this problem that we have is building a new prison and this problem is not going away and I think it's imperative that we deal with this problem today," he explained.


In the 32nd Guam Legislature, Senator McCreadie introduced two separate bills to construct a new prison both never made it to session floor. McCreadie has scheduled a tour of the prison for January 7th followed by a roundtable discussion on the 14th.
