Guam - The Department of Public Health will begin mass screenings for tuberculosis starting Monday, January 5th.

The screenings follow a confirmed active case of TB on a school bus driver. The driver passed away, but it was noted that she had existing medical conditions.

An estimated 2,000 students from northern schools, DPW bus drivers, and those who served on Superior Court of Guam Grand Jury Panel "D" since December 2014 and former grand jurors who served on Grand Jury Panel "X" from April through November 2014 must be screened.

Schools will notify affected students. As for jurors, the jury commissioner will contact you.

For more information, call the TB Control Program at 735-7145/57.
