Guam - Over two years have passed and still no closure in the Crown Bakery kidnapping case.
Although defendant Ray Charles Tedtaotao Camacho was set to be sentenced today, defense noted they have yet to receive documents from the attorney general's office necessary to move forward.
After Judge Anita Sukola expressed her disappointment at the AG's Office for "dragging their feet", she addressed the victim, Monique Baza.
"To the victim whose present here today, the court hears you. We received all information that was filed with the pre sentence investigation report at probation. Understand that there are some matters like procedural matters that need to be taken care of but we do note that the defendant did plead guilty to charges contained therein," said Her Honor.
The AG's Office has until Tuesday to submit all the requested documents. Meanwhile, Camacho's sentencing has been pushed back to January 28.
