Coast Guard searching for missing crewmember

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing crewmember from a 423 foot container ship located approximately 210 nautical miles south-south-east of Palau.

Guam - The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a missing crewmember from a 423 foot container ship located approximately 210 nautical miles south-south-east of Palau.

Friday night the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam received a report from the Japan Coast Guard regarding a man overboard from the Panama flagged cargo ship BEAGEL 1. The man was last seen wearing yellow clothing. 

The vessel conducted initial searches of the area.Sector Guam is coordinating search efforts with multiple resources to include: BEAGEL 1, a U.S. Navy P-8 aircraft from Kadena Air Base in Japan, and the Palau patrol boat PSS PRESIDENT H. I. REMELIIK.
