Legislature passes eight more bills before adjourning

Guam - Lawmakers wrapped up session today by passing eight more bills. Among the measures passed include Bill 425 establishing the Apprenticeship Act of Guam, Bill 416 encouraging the development of 1,600 new hotel rooms through a special qualifying certificate and Bill 332 authorizing the exchange of government owned property for Public Health and GHURA to build a new emergency shelter for foster children. Session was adjourned subject to the call of the speaker. It remains to be seen as this will be the last session for the 32nd Guam Legislature as the term does not expire until January 2.
