Guam - The Guam Election Commission is meeting for the first time this evening since certifying the results of the general election last month. Executive director Maria Pangelinan says tonight she will give commissioners an update on the investigation over an Election Day affidavit, a precinct official and an ice cooler.

"The direction was to turn over that specific administrative complaint to the Office of Attorney General," she said. "Since then the Attorney General has notified the Guam Election Commission that they've turned over the lead investigation to the Guam Police Department and the GEC hopes everything is resolved for everyone's sakes at this point in time."

Along with discussing lessons learned from the general election, Pangelinan says the GEC staff has already starting the process of purging the names of voters who failed to vote in the past two general elections.
