Guam - If you begin to notice more police visibility in our community you have Atkins Kroll Toyota and the Steering Committee to thank as today 15 Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles were donated to GPD's CAPE volunteer program to be used for neighborhood patrol and crime prevention activities. In addition three Toyota Tacoma's were donated to the American Red Cross to be used in their mission to provide assistance in times of emergency.
AK president Des Graham told KUAM News, "This is part of AK's fulfillment to its partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation for the Cars in the Community initiative announced earlier this year. Over the coming months AK and the Steering Committee will monitor the success of the program and will work to increase the sponsorship pool so that program will continue past its initial two year term."
The vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and have been donated for a two year lease period with insurance and scheduled maintenance provided by AK and sponsors.
