Guam - The Guam National Olympic Committee suspended the Guam Track & Field Association for allegedly failing to comply with GNOC's bylaws and a GTFA athlete allegedly failing to meet residency requirements.  In response the federation conducted a peaceful demonstration late yesterday.

During the protest a document highlighting the event surrounding the allegations was provided to athlete representative Napu Castro, who said, "We did not even send this athlete to this event this is an indoor championship event that took place what year was this Istanbul, Turkey, I think that was in, but this wasn't even last year this took place probably two three years ago. This is what they are going to use to suspend us this is not even the right event."

Castro alleges that the event that they sent the athlete to was the IAAF World Championship in Russia which occurred last summer. The GNOC has yet to provide a response.
