Guam - If you owe money to the Guam Environmental Protection Agency you are advised to make arrangements to clear your debt. According to GEPA administrator Eric Palacios they are working on compiling a list of all those who owe money and will be releasing those names to the public.

He said, "As an example our solid waste program we have about 12 outstanding notices of violations totaling about $90,000 and so outstanding in either they are pending some form of payment on the penalty or final clean up action meaning they still have to come in clean up whatever messed that was created and then properly pay for the disposal at a permitted facility."

There are eight programs within the department all with the authority to enforce notices of violations and Palacios says they want to work with the violators to come into compliance before sending the list of violators to the Attorney General's Office. To settle your debt with GEPA contact 300-4751.
