DOE may take over procurement of school solar panels

Guam - On the road to going green the Department of Education may be taking over the procurement of solar panels for our island's schools. "I do think we want to look very closely to see make sure we can handle any of the technical requirements and knowledge to be able to handle this procurement because solar panels are not our area of expertise so we will want to talk to speaker won pat and to see if we can also make use of the information put together to date by GSA if we were to take it on so we don't have to start from scratch," said superintendent Jon Fernandez.
