Guam - Inarajan Mayor Doris Lujan is not giving up on getting Asalonso Road in Malojloj fixed. You may recall Lujan fears for the safety of motorists who traverse the road as construction related to the Dan Dan Solar Farm has left the road in shambles.
Last week she held a town meeting to see what can be done and discovered that the project which is slated for completion in March will be in hiatus from Christmas Eve through January 5th. "After January 5th they are going to come back and dredge another hole for the man holes, anywhere between 11 to 14 manholes to be strung again along that road so we are going to experience the same problem again once they start putting the manholes," the mayor said.
Motorists complained of heavy traffic in the area but in addition to the traffic motorist also complained of damages to their tires as a result of the bumpy road. Lujan says the bottom line is that the road must be fixed and she is calling for repairs to both lanes of Asalonso Road.
