Guam - Tommy Afaisen and Irvin Muna White III, the suspects in Thursday's early morning robbery and shooting, are being held behind bars on $1,000,000 cash bail each.
According to court documents, White confessed to the planned robbery, admitting the men were originally supposed to hit the Trench Bar, but changed their minds at the last minute.
Prior to the robbery, the men smoked the drug "ice" in their car before pointing a gun at the days inn cashier, taking with them money from the register and the man's car keys.
They then lead police in a pursuit through Tamuning, firing gunshots before parking the car and running by foot.
Along with White's confession, he assisted police with a video re-enactment while Afaisen was not cooperative.
Their next court appearance is December 15.
KUAM News meanwhile confirmed that an internal affairs complaint has been filed with GPD by a family member of one of the robbery suspects. According to Police Spokesperson AJ Balajadia the relative alleges unsatisfactory performance by one of the officers involved in the case. Due to the ongoing investigation information is limited.
