Guam - The Japanese man pulled out of Tumon Bay on Tuesday died of asphyxiation due to near drowning.

This from chief medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola who conducted the autopsy on the tourist today.

The man was pulled out of the waters behind outrigger hotel. Medics were able to resuscitate him. He remained in critical condition throughout the night before passing away early Wednesday morning.

His death marks the second water-related fatality for this week. On Sunday, an 8-year-old girl also died at Ypao Beach from a drowning incident. She was also a tourist.
