Guam - The Guam Bar Association's ethics prosecutor Bruce Bradley confirms they are in receipt of a letter from the Civil Service Commission regarding Attorney Vanessa Williams.
According to Bradley they are reviewing and addressing the letter. It was last week when the CSC wrote to the Guam Bar seeking advice over Williams' alleged involvement with Bernadette Meno in regards to the recent election controversy involving a cooler. Meno is the former Port marketing manager who was terminated along with several other employees accused of misconduct. All the fired employees had filed an appeal with the Commission. Williams served as the conflicts counsel for CSC and the Port hearings. Last week Williams issued a statement saying she has neither a professional nor personal relationship with Meno. We should note CSC executive director Tony Lamorena, says Williams' contract with the CSC ended in late October and they have since hired Attorney John Nowakowski from California to serve as a staff attorney.
