Guam - The Democrat members of the Guam Election Commission have written to chairman Joe Mesa requesting for a special meeting to review concerns brought forth by the Carl Gutierrez-Gary Gumataotao campaign. As we reported, campaign chairperson Joaquin Perez is requesting for a manual audit of the general election results of at least 10 precincts. In her letter, Taijeron says the issues raised by the Gutierrez-Gumataotao campaign warrant this to be an emergency situation. She adds in the interest of transparency and integrity of the election process and for all voters of Guam, she urgently requests for the special meeting ahead of certification of the results. The GEC is already scheduled to meet on November 20.
