Guam - The Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association has been awarded a $50,000 federal grant to support small and emerging rural business enterprise in the territory. According to GHRA president Mary Rhodes the funding will allow the organization to continue providing workforce development programs, training and education to its more than 300 members in the tourism industry.
The grant is part of the USDA Rural Business Development Enterprise Grant Program. It is part of the Obama Administration's ongoing effort to create wealth and job opportunities by ensuring that strategic investments are made in rural America.
