Guam - Carl Gutierrez-Gary Gumataotao 2014 campaign chairman Kin Perez confirms with KUAM that he has submitted a letter to the Guam Election Commission requesting for a manual audit of the unofficial results from no less than ten precincts at random chosen by the GEC. The request comes less than a week after the general election where Eddie Calvo-Ray Tenorio defeated Gutierrez-Gumataotao in the gubernatorial race.

The unofficial results have Calvo receiving over 63% of the vote or more than 9,700 votes. Perez tells KUAM News that he's been part of every gubernatorial election since Guam had an elected governor in the 1970s and has never seen a candidate win by such a large margin.
