Radiological emergency training this week

Guam - Starting Wednesday, November 12th emergency responders within GovGuam, the federal government and the private sector will begin training for a radiological emergency. According to Guam Homeland Security spokesperson Jenna Gaminde first responders will get in-class and hands on training focusing on assessing the emergency situation and advising decision makers on what further steps could be taken to reduce the hazards of a radiological emergency. Training will include area monitoring and air sampling, exposure and contamination control.
