Guam - What was once a deep hole just a day ago has since been filled. Normal traffic resumed today along Route 16 in Barrigada after the US Navy and DXSP-21 were repairing a broken water line that resulted in a 100-x-25 hole in the middle of the road. Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Officer Lt. Tim Gorman says the waterline was repaired and the Navy put a backfill and coldmix into the hole. He adds while the coldmix only provides a temporary fill, the navy is meeting with Department of Public Works to determine the best time to permanently fix and pave the road. He adds the navy will bear the costs for the repairs.
