The Guam Department of Labor is continuing its push for fair and safe workplaces across the island. Through its Fair Employment Practice Division, GDOL recently completed outreach and training sessions with Hotel Nikko Guam and the Tsubaki Tower, focusing on fair employment standards and harassment prevention.

Around 90-95 managers took part in the latest session, which also included updates on new laws like the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act—highlighting responsibilities to ensure equal opportunity, prevent discrimination, and support employees with proper accommodations.

Officials say these ongoing trainings are key to helping employers stay compliant while creating respectful and inclusive work environments.

GDOL says outreach will continue with more businesses across Guam as part of its effort to strengthen workplace protections islandwide.
