Guam - We first brought you story last month about the proposal to build an assisted living center at the Oka Point property in Tamuning. And tonight, American Medical Center principal partner Dr. Vince Akimoto and other stakeholders will be making a special presentation at the Tamuning Senior Center. The proposal was first presented to the Chamorro Land Trust Commission in September. The project is set to cost around $500 million utilizing 52 acres of the Oka Point property that has gone undeveloped for years. Tamuning mayor Louise Rivera says she will not support any proposal until a claim over land transfer with the Perez family is settled. The meeting starts at 6:30 this evening.
