Guam - The FBI is in control of the scene at Home Depot. The store was evacuated after a suspicious item was found in the parking lot at around 6 o'clock this morning.  According to a press release from Guam Homeland Security/ Office of Civil Defense although a K-9 unit swept the area and did not detect any explosive devices, the FBI recommended EOD be activated. According to KUAM sources a black brief case/luggage was found in the parking lot area near the home and garden section.

The Guam Fire Department's static display scheduled for this morning in the Home Depot Parking lot was cancelled. We should add behind the Home Depot, a new building is being constructed to house federal law enforcement agencies.

UPDATE: EOD gave the all-clear just before 11am. Home Depot has sicne reopened.
