Vongfong's closest point of approach is 5am Monday

Guam - As of 5pm Sunday, the National Weather Service says Typhoon Vongfong is heading towards Rota and the Southern Marianas. It is located about 225 miles east of Guam. Its packing winds of up to 80 miles per hour currently, its moving west northwest at 21 miles per hour. The typhoon is intensifying and could bring Vongfong through the Mariana Islands sometime around 5am Monday morning.
