GPA's Kin Flores retiring as utility agency GM

Guam - Tuesday marks the last day for Joaquin Flores as the general manager of the Guam Power Authority. Flores is retiring after 32 years of service - nine years of which he served as GM. In a letter to ratepayers and GPA employees today, CCU chairman Simon Sanchez says "Kin has left behind a strong foundation of professional public servants at GPA" adding "he also helped raise our standards and expectations from ratepayers."  John Benavente will be the interim general manager beginning on October 1.
