Guam - Team Guam shined this past weekend at the largest and most comprehensive tourism expo in Japan's history. The JATA Tourism Expo showcases over 150 countries and regions on an international stage. Guam participation allowed the Island Teo Display the very best that the island has to offer to the travel industry and consumers in Tokyo. A release from the Guam Visitors Bureau notes that Guam's 4,000 year old culture is front and center with an "experience Chamorro culture" exhibit occupied by some of the best weavers and carters representing the island. The Mount Carmel School Phoenix Stage Band, Jesse and Ruby, Pa'a Taotao Tano and the Chamorro Dance Academy also showcased the island's talents. Along with members of GVB, Team Guam also included Lt. Governor Ray Tenorio and tourism oversight chair Senator Tina Muna Barnes.
