6th grader hit by car in Yigo while getting on the school bus

Guam - KUAM has confirmed that a 6th grade student from FBLG Middle School was hit by a car while boarding the bus along Wusstig Road this morning.

According to DOE deputy superintendent Rob Malay the boy was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital for further evaluation and was accompanied by a school administrator. GMH nursing supervisor Cely Macrabong confirms he was seen at 8:15 this morning and discharged just before noon with no life threatening injuries.

DOE along with GFD and GPD are reminding motorists to please be mindful of the presence of children when approaching bus stops and buses.
