Guam - It was last week when Senator Brant McCreadie indicated he would motion to put his Bill 172 on session floor once lawmakers rose from the Committee of the Whole in session. The measure relates to the designing, leasing and building of a new prison facility. Vice Speaker BJ Cruz tells KUAM News he does plan on reporting the measure out of committee - which we should noted has been sitting in committee for over a year. McCreadie adds Cruz gave his commitment to him to allow the bill to go through the process and be voted on during the next available session which most likely will be next month. In the meantime, the Department of Corrections has a petition circulating in support of the measure.
