Guam - While today was the first day of school for DOE students, students at the Guahan Academy Charter School spent their morning at the Legislature with signs in hand and the message "No More, No Less" in hopes that their voices will be heard and their funding increased.

GACS 9th grade student body president Ariyanee Bianco said, "We feel outcasted why would we feel outcasted when we came from the school. We're still Guam kids, we still live on Guam and we're still a public school, so why are we treated differently?"

As we reported the FY15 budget for the charter school would appropriate $5,500 per student for up to 520 student which is $1,000 less than what a regular DOE student receives.
