Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo says he's working with lawmakers to introduce a pair of bills to take care of the balance of pay adjustments owed to law enforcement officers and to pay the hay salary increase at 100%.
In a special address, Governor Calvo says it's only right that this happens. He says if the legislature approves his bills, then only one longstanding payroll obligation will remain for the promises of the past which is the law enforcement adjustment pay for payroll expenses like overtime and night differential. Calvo adds there will be issues to resolve at DOE and GMH, but the administration will be working with those departments. The bills are expected in the coming days.
