Guam - The Department of Education is still in the process of trying to secure our schools despite seeing a delay. "We were slightly delayed because of the lack of expertise in trying to identify the types of technologies and location of all of these various pieces but that was completed and sent to GSA," said DOE superintendent Jon Fernandez.

He says a request for interest was issued prior to the summer break and responses from vendors were received. Using the information provided GSA will now prepare an invitation for bid that will enable them to procure the equipment. He adds that while they had hoped to get the security system in this summer they must wait for the IFB to be issued.
