Guam - With five weeks remaining until the primary election, the Guam Election Commission is holding its last set of trainings for precinct officials in the next few days.

GEC executive director Maria Pangelinan says the next two trainings will cover the more populated villages, saying, "We may have to schedule a Friday training for additional alternates some people have not been making it so we have about a dozen who did not make it throughout the training days that were scheduled."

The GEC has 290-plus precinct officials signed on for the primary election. Pangelinan adds a few precinct officials have not passed a standardized test taken after the training and may need to be replaced. The trainings start at 5:30pm and last for three hours. Tonight's training is for precincts in Mongmong-Toto-Maite and Dededo whereas Wednesday's training will be for Yigo.
