Condition of Readiness 4 restored
Guam is now in Condition of Readiness 4 and Tropical Storm Warning is no longer a threat to the island.
Guam is now in Condition of Readiness 4 and Tropical Storm Bavi is no longer a threat to the island. The Tropical Storm has been cancelled. However according to the Joint Information Center out of Guam Homeland Security, Office of Civil Defense a Small Craft Advisory is still in effect until 3pm Tuesday.
The Government of Guam will now resume normal operations with the exception of DOE schools which are closed. Hundreds of Guamanians took shelter at one of the three public schools that were used as shelters. Guam DOE 12-month employees will be preparing schools for normal operations tomorrow. With COR4 declared GCC and UOG will resume at noon.
The Judiciary of Guam is also now opened for business while the District Court remains closed. As for the Guam Memorial Hospital, a total of 13 expectant mothers checked in, they will be leaving GMH now that COR4 has been declared. GMHA employees are asked to report to work as scheduled.
As for utilities, GPA crews are continuing work on restoring power throughout the island. If you would like to report a problem call the Guam Power Authority at 475-1472/3/4, or for water issues contact the Guam Waterworks Authority at 646-4211.
