Guam - It's one of Guam's hottest music groups, and the For Peace Band is gearing up to release their first CD: "Forwards Ever".

Fred Eugene Bordallo III told KUAM News, "Me and JC wrote in collaborative writing - I wrote the body of the song and a lot of that has sentimental value to me about relationships on Guam and love and passion and companionship but JC is going to explain what Forwards Ever means (being 'moving forward')."

The For Peace Band has been together for several years and has been on tour in places like Hawaii. The roots reggae band is comprised of Fred Bordallo, Jacob Iosia, Peter Castro, Marc Elliott and Ronald Pereira. They've been working on their first album for over a year now and are already working on their second. "There should be any I don't want to say excuse, but anything hindering you from making original music don't be afraid all artists are sensitive they may say, 'Oh man, you want to hear your music, oh no I don't want you to hear my song, oh no, never mind, I don't want you to hear my song.' Dude, no one's ever gonna know unless you put it out there so that's what we did," he said.

The Forwards Ever album consists of 13 original music tracks. Their release party is scheduled for tomorrow night at club icon there's a $10 cover charge. The CD is already available for purchase on iTunes. Matter of fact, for the last few weeks forwards ever made the top 15 reggae charts on iTunes. On an added note a portion of the proceeds from tomorrow's release will go to local non-profit group Nihi.
