26 food stamp clients disqualified from program

Guam - Twenty-six clients receiving benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as food stamps, and the temporary assistance for needy families program have been disqualified.
According to Department of Public Health and Social Services director James Gillan, reasons for disqualification ranged from failing to report the loss of a family member, failing to report employment timely, and also for exchanging benefits for cash. 24 of these clients will be ineligible to receive benefits for a year while 2 will be permanently disqualified for their second violation.
