Guam - Island's Veterans Advisory Council had the opportunity to meet with Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo Tuesday. The meeting provided an opportunity for dialogue on a range of veterans issues dealing with federal legislation and veteran healthcare. Jolene Castro is with the Iraqi Afghanistan Persian Gulf Veterans of the Pacific organization and said, "We are the next generation of veterans that are experiencing information such as PTSD and all of the effects of what war has so with the number of veterans coming home we're kind of the new organization to come here and find out what we can address at the congressional level."

Castro said PTSD is a huge issue for this generation of veterans. Currently she says there are over 300,000 members of the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America organization.
