Guam - Prosecution in the Chad DeSoto trial could rest its case as early as Monday.
According to Attorney General's Office spokesperson Carlina Charfauros, over forty have already testified on prosecution's behalf with one more Japanese victim scheduled to take the stand.
Desoto is charged with multiple counts of aggravated murder and attempted murder for driving his car down a Tumon sidewalk before crashing into the ABC Store, darting out of the car, and stabbing people at random resulting in the death of three Japanese tourists and injuring several others.
Desoto has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
