Guam - August is Guam Breastfeeding Awareness Month.
The members of the Guam Breastfeeding Committee is adopting this year's theme "Breastfeeding: A Winning Goal for Life". The committee members are taking actions to raise public awareness and to promote Guam Public Law 32-098, "Nana Yan Patgon Act", through various activities and events.
DPHSS encourages the island community to promote and support breastfeeding as the normal and optimal feeding choice.
