More candidates file with GEC

Guam - Another candidate has made it official to run in this year's primary election. Department of Youth Affairs director Adonis Mendiola filed his candidacy for senator under the Republican ticket. This will mark his second run for the Guam Legislature.

Mendiola told KUAM News, "I feel it's every person's responsibility and right to step up to the place to serve their country, their island, their community their people and I offer myself to the people of Guam."

A total of nineteen people have since filed with the GEC - 15 for the senatorial race and one each for the gubernatorial, congress and the attorney general races. The deadline to file is July 1.
