Guam - The Guam Legislature's opening briefs are due tomorrow as part of its declaratory judgment request with the supreme court over medicinal marijuana. As we reported, the request for declaratory judgment came as a result of Resolution 358 which seeks relief over the legislature's ability through a duly passed law of Guam to direct the Guam Election Commission to place a measure on this year's election ballot. The GEC legal counsel however deemed action by the legislature as "inorganic" in which the commission voted to not place it on the ballot. The opening briefs are being prepared by Attorney Julian Aguon who is representing the Guam Legislature in this case.
