Notice issues to Yona man for running illegal dump

Guam - Guam EPA administrator Eric Palacios confirms the agency has issued a notice of violation to a Yona man for operating an illegal dump on his property.
"We've already identified the responsible party and issued a notice of violation with an accompanying penalty of $250,000. And it's my understanding that the responsible party intends to appeal the notice of violation," he explained,
Palacios says evidence shows various types of waste on the property and will proceed with seeking clean up.
More details on the alleged dump owner will be released at the upcoming Guam EPA board meeting scheduled for June 19.
