Summer school begins June 16

According to DOE deputy superintendent Rob Malay the program is set to begin on June 16th.</span>

Guam - If you have a child that is attending summer school here is some helpful information about this year's summer school program. According to DOE deputy superintendent Rob Malay the program is set to begin on June 16th.

"And for the elementary and middle schools it will run through July 22nd for high schools it will go an additional week to July 29th elementary schools will be run from 8 to 12:15 in the afternoon and for middle schools from 7:30 to 12:20 and the high schools vary a little bit," he said.

This year the program has consolidated the number of schools that offer the program affecting the elementary level with only ten host schools. Bussing to and from will be provided. Untalan Middle School will not have a summer school program as they are focusing on transitioning back to their home campus.

Malay says registration is ongoing and parents can contact your child's school for more information and registration deadlines.
